SUMMARY:
H2-X is Unitree Robotics’ next-generation full-size humanoid robot, engineered for dynamic mobility, precision manipulation, and real-world protection/safeguard applications.
Standing 1725 mm tall and weighing 65+ kg, H2-X combines aerospace-grade materials, a 31-DoF whole-body structure, and high-performance actuation for fluid, graceful movement in security, industrial manufacturing, and commercial/home-service scenarios.
H2-X can perform high-agility locomotion, including dynamic maneuvers, and runs on dual hot-swappable premium lithium batteries with whole-body magnetic charging. It features onboard computing options (Intel Core i7 Orin NX or high-power modules such as Thor T5000/Orin AGX) and advanced binocular/stereo camera perception with optional RGBD depth sensing.
Unitree recently unveiled H2-X with a dramatic security-focused demo video (released October 21, 2026) showcasing kung-fu-style strikes, car-door kicking, and heavy lifting — one of the most visually striking humanoid demonstrations of the year.
The robot is positioned for security services, intelligent industrial manufacturing, and multi-scenario deployment, with pricing starting at $25,400 (tax/shipping excluded).
EDITORIAL:
H2-X marks Unitree’s bold evolution of its full-size H2 platform into a purpose-built “Kung Fu Legend Guardian” — a sleek, robust humanoid engineered for real-world protection and dynamic tasks rather than pure industrial precision.
While AEON (from Hexagon Robotics) focuses on factory-floor autonomy, inspection, and logistics, H2-X emphasizes agility, expressive movement, and safeguard capabilities in security, rescue, and commercial settings.
Its design reflects a clear industry trend: humanoids are moving beyond research demos toward versatile, protective assets that can operate in unpredictable environments.
H2-X’s ability to perform fluid locomotion, powerful manipulation, and interactive features (LED matrix displays, stereo speakers for voice interaction) positions it as a bridge between entertainment-grade movement and practical embodied intelligence.
The October 21, 2026 launch video is a milestone — showing the robot kicking car doors open, lifting the front of a car, and executing impressive dynamic maneuvers.
While not yet deployed in any large-scale factory pilot like AEON’s upcoming BMW Leipzig operation, H2-X represents one of the first consumer-accessible (or semi-industrial) humanoids with such high visual and performance impact. It is not a general-purpose home assistant; it is a specialized guardian robot optimized for safety-critical and high-mobility workflows.
